First Solar Announces Closing of IPO and Exercise of Over-Allotment Option

PHOENIX, Nov 22, 2006 (PrimeZone Media Network via COMTEX News Network) -- First Solar, Inc. (Nasdaq:FSLR) announced today that it has closed its previously announced initial public offering of 22,942,500 shares, including 2,942,500 shares sold pursuant to the underwriters' exercise of the over-allotment option granted by the Company. The shares are listed on the Nasdaq Global Market under the symbol "FSLR" and were sold at an initial public offering price of $20 per share.

The offering was made through an underwriting syndicate led by Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC and Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated, which acted as joint book-running managers. Piper Jaffray & Co., Cowen and Company, LLC, First Albany Capital Inc. and ThinkEquity Partners LLC acted as co-managers.
